Built with C#, Phantasma is a blockchain platform created for Unity Developers. It includes Phantasma Link, a connector that supports communication between decentralized applications (dApps), wallets, and the blockchain. The ecosystem also includes Phantasma AI, Phantasma Hub, and developer documentation to further assist developers.

Phantasma offers staking, a dual token setup, a tokenomics framework, and smartNFT technology. Together, these components are intended to back digital goods and services, communications, entertainment, marketplaces, and on-chain storage solutions for both dApp developers and enterprise clients.

Phantasma’s mainnet has been running since October 2019, with a focus on gaming and NFTs. It provides low minting and transaction fees, and supports smartNFT functionality at the chain level.

SmartNFTs on Phantasma can display dynamic characteristics that may update depending on set conditions. This supports the development of decentralized dynamic in-game items, time-based NFTs, multi-layer NFTs, infused NFTs, and NFTs that contain locked content only the NFT owner can access. SmartNFTs can be minted on-demand, which helps reduce the need to pre-mint NFTs that might not end up being sold.
