DMT (Dream Machine Token) is the native cryptocurrency powering Dream Machine games. Just as arcade tokens and quarters enable play, $DMT is the token used to access games on the Dream Machine. It functions as the per-play token and also serves as the foundation of in-game economies-supporting items, power-ups, and character and stage unlocks. Player earnings from gameplay and betting are distributed in $DMT.

DMT is designed to be scarce. Most of the supply is made available to the public through the initial sale and an airdrop. After tokens are used in gameplay, a portion is burnt and removed from circulation. The project also aims for low emission, with a deliberately large share of the token float released at genesis to support long-term sustainability. There are no VCs or seed investors given early access to the token.
