41% of the major recipients of the ZKsync airdrop have already sold their coins

4,100 of the 10,000 largest addresses that received distribution from the ZKsync L2 network sold all ZK tokens. This is evidenced by the Nansen data.

Another 29.2% have sold only part of the coins, and just over 30% of wallets still retain their assets.

In total, major airdrop participants "leaked" a total of 491 million ZK, which at the exchange rate at the time of writing is equivalent to ~ $110.1 million.

However, Nansen's data covers only 1.4% of the 690,951 approved wallets, so there is no accurate information on how small coin recipients behave.

According to Lookonchain's observations, one of the "sibiles" received more than 3 million ZK (~$682,000) for 85 linked wallets.

This airdrop hunter then deposited 2.71M $ZK($678K) into #Binance and sold 300K $ZK for 20 $ETH($69K) via #SyncSwap.https://t.co/U4OKb7bmVWhttps://t.co/VAPmnj9gsj pic.twitter.com/x8YUPAspbK

According to the Dune dashboard compiled by Matter Labs data specialist Landon Gingerich, 513,907 addresses have already been branded with 2.85 billion ZK.

The network participants have to take about 22% of the 3,675 billion ZK allocated to the community.

The ZKsync protocol itself has encountered technical difficulties amid an influx of users. Binance had to postpone the listing twice due to technical problems and deposit delays.

(1/2) The network is currently under high load. Some RPC services may experience degraded performance.

Teams are working to increase RPC capacities.

Stay tuned for updates.

Against the background of a not very successful launch and large sales "into the glass", the ZK token fell by 20% to $ 0.22 per day. At the moment, the asset sank below $ 0.19, but was able to recover. The coin started trading at $0.25.

Recall that the Binance team promised to distribute an additional 10.5 million ZK among 52,500 users amid "community concerns about the distribution of coins."
