$5,000 in BTC for the services of a killer: a trial will be held in the USA on charges of preparing a murder

23-year-old resident of Salt Lake City (Utah, USA) Christa Rene Stone deposited $5,000 in bitcoins as an advance payment for a contract killing. On June 15, the court will hand down a verdict in her case.

Stone pleaded guilty to preparing a crime. According to the US Department of Justice, from March to September 2023, she negotiated the organization of the murder by posting an announcement on a thematic site on the darknet.

She provided a detailed description of the victim, including a photo, location, and how to complete the task.

The circumstances of the detention, as well as the identity of the victim, are not given in the department.

Recall that in July 2023, a court in California sentenced 38-year-old Christie Lynn Felkins for the attempted contract murder of her ex-husband.
