Thanks to several messages from the celebrity's account, the turnover of the SWEENEY token associated with her based on Solana exceeded $10 million in two hours after the launch on July 2.

A little over an hour after the start of trading, the price of the asset collapsed by almost 90% before further stabilization.

At the time of writing, SWEENEY's capitalization is $535,000. At its peak, the figure reached $3.88 million, according to DEX Screener.

The administrator of the Telegram channel associated with the token made it clear that he was responsible for the hacking.

According to Cointelegraph, in already deleted messages, the attacker claimed his involvement in the recent hacking of the accounts of X rapper 50 Cent and former wrestler Hulk Hogan to promote fake tokens.

He promised to carry out a similar attack on the account of a more "famous" celebrity than Sweeney, but did not provide details.

Earlier, ForkLog reported the hacking of the X account of the American metal band Metallica for the promotion of the METAL token on Solana.

Recall that in May, hackers attacked the X-profiles of a number of influencers and celebrities to promote cryptoscams.
