According to Altair Technology, the miner used Bitaxe equipment from D-Central Technologies for mining, which had a capacity of 500 GH/s. It is designed for solo mining, uses the Antminer S21 chip and outputs a hashrate of ~500 GH with an energy efficiency of 18 J/TH.
Despite the modest technical characteristics, the device connected to the Solo CKPool service produced the 290th solo block. According to Con Colivas, analyst and administrator of the Solo CKPool mining pool, with a hashrate of 3 TH/s, the chances of mining a block of bitcoin are about 1 in 1.2 million per day.
He noted that, judging by the network data, the miner started mining about nineteen days ago and increased the hashrate in the last 24 hours. Kolivas suggests that the solo miner used a combination of six Bitaxes. According to Altair, the cost of one device in the United States is only $179.
Solo CKPool congratulated the solo miner on the successfully mined block:
"Congratulations to the miner on the first Bitaxe block. With such a powerful equipment, the probability of finding a block is 1 time in 3,500 years."
Earlier, the administration of the mining company HIVE Digital announced plans to build a new hydropower data center with a capacity of up to 100 MW in Paraguay.
