The former head of the department of enforcement of crypto assets and cybercrimes of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) denied rumors that after leaving his senior position at the department, he joined the team of the Pump.fun crypto project.

David Hirsch began his career at the SEC as a staff attorney. In 2022, he took the post of head of the department of enforcement of crypto assets and cybersecurity, worked in the department for a total of about nine years.

On June 14, the specialist left the SEC. A few days later, on June 17th, the Pump platform.fun on the social network X joked that Hirsch became the head of the Pump sales department.fun and congratulated him on his new position.
