In several videos posted by NFT artist Frank Degods, the politician announced his willingness to accept digital assets.

"Can we make a donation to the Trump campaign using cryptocurrency? I think the answer is yes," the presidential candidate said.

According to Trump, incumbent President Joe Biden "doesn't even know" what cryptocurrency is.

"If you like digital assets in any form, and they exist in a variety of forms, and if you support them, you'd better vote for Trump," he added.

The participant of the election race made his statements at a meeting with the buyers of his NFT collection Mugshot Edition. The invitees bought more than 47 non-interchangeable tokens in one transaction at a price of $99.

Answering the question of whether he would keep the cryptocurrency business in the United States, Trump promised to work on this problem:

"If the cryptocurrency leaves the United States because of hostility to it, we will stop it. If the country is going to accept [digital assets], we have to let them stay."

Electric Capital co-founder Avichal Garg wrote that it is "amazing to see the evolution" of Trump in cryptocurrency.

It is amazing to see the evolution from @realDonaldTrump on crypto. Whoever is coaching him on this issue is crushing it.

If @JoeBiden stays anti-crypto, the downstream consequence is crypto goes from Anti-Gensler to Anti-Biden to anti-Democrats. https://t.co/R8bWy8DPsJ

"If Biden remains an anti-crypto trader, the next stage will be that the industry will move from the position of anti-Gensler to anti—Biden and anti-democrats," he believes.

FOX Business journalist Eleanor Terret noted the absolutely polar positions of the two main candidates in relation to digital assets.

The two presidential frontrunners planted their flags on very different sides of the #crypto debate today. @POTUS made clear he would side with @SenWarren and @GaryGensler by continuing to support the @SECGov’s regulation by enforcement.@realDonaldTrump said he would stop the…

"Biden has made it clear that he will side with Senators Elizabeth Warren and Gary Gensler by continuing to support regulation through coercion. Trump said he would end hostility towards cryptocurrency in the United States and "ensure" the start of accepting campaign donations in digital assets," Terret stressed.

Earlier, a Paradigm poll showed that 48% of voters who own cryptocurrencies plan to vote for Trump.

Recall that in March 2024, the leader of the Republican Party said that he had no plans to interfere with the use of bitcoin or other digital assets if he won the elections in November.

He called the first cryptocurrency an "additional form of currency" that will require specialized regulation from the authorities. According to Trump, bitcoin has already "found its own life."
