Former Ethereum advisor Steven Nerayoff demands compensation of $10 million from the cryptanalyst of Truth Labs for public defamation of extortion and aiding the US government in organizing an assassination attempt.

Steven Nerayoff has filed a defamation lawsuit in the New York District Court against a cryptanalyst at Truth Labs, whose real name is Tyler Fayard. Nerayoff said that Fayard had repeatedly made sweeping accusations against him on social media, calling him a criminal and an "inhuman fraudster", as well as a secret agent who, on the instructions of the government, penetrated the defendant's private life as part of a psychological operation and the organization of a future assassination attempt.

Nerayoff claims that Fayard's actions caused him significant "emotional, mental and economic harm," and demands compensation from the Truth Labs cryptanalyst for moral and financial damage in the amount of at least $10 million.

It is noteworthy that Nerayoff and Fayard previously worked closely together in investigating the background of government allegations against the ex-adviser of Ethereum about the ICO fraud Storm X. Recall that in 2019, Nerayoff was arrested, and the litigation lasted until May 2023, when all charges were dropped against the businessman. At that time, Nerayoff's defense argued that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) initially knew that the charges against their client were "factually and legally unfounded."

In April, Steven Nerayoff sued the U.S. government and demanded $9.6 billion in compensation from it. He claims that federal agents instigated the investigation and maliciously prosecuted him.
