Fileverse startup has introduced a program for sharing Ddocs documents. The product is an alternative to Google Docs or Notion with increased privacy and many Web3 features, writes The Block.
"Just as Google documents are created by entering docs.new in the browser search, access to a decentralized counterpart is also provided through the ddocs.new suite," the press release says.
The account is opened by signing a multisig wallet on the Gnosis Safe smart contract platform. This allows users to store a hashed version of an on-chain document and control file access rights.
"It acts as a registry for the content that you save. When you publish a document on IPFS, you get a hash that represents the information in the file. No matter what happens, you always have an idea of the list that exists offline in a peer—to-peer network," explained startup founder Andreas Tsamados.

A "social recovery" function can also be encoded in it. It allows you to provide access to a fragment of the recovery code in case control of the account is lost.
In addition to Ddocs, the team has developed the Notion-like Fileverse Portal and Fileverse Solo file sharing service.
