Cathy Wood clarified that her willingness to vote for Republican candidate Donald Trump in the upcoming elections is justified by the fact that the politician actively promotes economic development and is ready to take into account the needs of the cryptocurrency industry.
"I will vote for a candidate who will do everything possible to strengthen the U.S. economy. And on this basis, I am a Trump voter, because he is better versed in issues when it comes to the economy," Wood said.
She noted that she fully agrees with the statement of Arthur Laffer, an economic adviser to the Trump campaign headquarters, who in 2016 stated that the first three years of the Trump administration before the COVID-19 pandemic were "the best in the economic history of the United States."
This is not the first time that well-known representatives of the crypto industry have declared their support for the Trump presidential campaign. Earlier, Blackstone CEO Stephen Schwarzman said he would support Trump and "vote for future changes," and Gemini exchange founders Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss announced they would donate $1 million each to support Donald Trump's election campaign.
