Over the past weekend, the X accounts of a number of influencers and celebrities have been hacked to promote fraud and market manipulation.
Among the victims is a crypto investor with the nickname Gigantic-Casocked-Rebirth (GSR), who has about 250,000 followers.
On May 26, a message about ORDI and LUNA 2.0 coins appeared on his page, as a result of which both assets momentarily increased by 6% and 274%, respectively. The post was later deleted, and GSR itself confirmed the hack.

Many noted that the hacker could have used this account to sell a microcapitalized coin, but instead decided to place two tokens, which led to "limited profits."
GCR hacker fumbled the bag hard.
Bro could've picked ANY believable micro cap to pump 10-20x, yet chose to shill ORDI and LUNA2 for a measly 10% wick.😂 pic.twitter.com/jy3cR6ZJwr
"Bro could have chosen any plausible microcap to increase revenue 10-20 times, but decided to sell ORDI and LUNA 2.0 for a measly 10% growth," wrote cryptanalyst Miles Deutscher.
However, the community has warned that the GCR hack may be only a small part of a broader attack on celebrity accounts.
The other day, the X account of American rapper Rich The Kid published a post offering to buy a new RICH token launched through the meme token creation tool on Solana - pump.fun.

In parallel, celebrity Caitlyn Jenner has her own token, probably fraudulent. Its capitalization has already exceeded $26 million.
if anyone wants the TLDR on the @Caitlyn_Jenner situation here it is
She was never hacked, Her team was socially engineered by a guy named Sahil.
He was the \"middleman\" and his role was to launch the token for Caitlyn as the team didn't know anything about crypto.

Roxo user said that Jenner and her team were deceived by a certain Sahil Aurora.
"He was an intermediary, his role was to create a token for Caitlin, as the team knew nothing about cryptocurrency. After launching the coin and involving Caitlin in its promotion, he drained all the tokens from the deployer's wallet and transferred even more to disposable wallets," the researcher explained.
According to Roxo, tokens from Rich The Kid, Soulja Boy and other famous personalities are also associated with Sahil.
Recall that in March, due to the vulnerability of the IFTTT autoposting service, the X-accounts of a number of influential people in the crypto industry became victims of hackers. Ads for the fraudulent PACKY token were placed on the pages.
In the same month, attackers hacked the profile of the manufacturer of hardware crypto wallets Trezor to promote the scam.
