Elon Musk: "I'm not going to promote cryptocurrencies"
The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk, stated during the X Takeover podcast that bitcoin, like other crypto assets, has its advantages. However, the billionaire stressed that he was not going to promote cryptocurrencies.

"The first cryptocurrency has its advantages, as perhaps in some other crypto assets, but I do not intend to pump any digital asset, at best in jest," Elon Musk said.

He added that he sympathizes with the Dogecoin memcoin (DOGE), as he likes dogs and memes related to them.

Musk called on the crypto community to check very carefully whether his alleged statements on the social network X regarding cryptocurrencies or cryptoplatforms are real.

So, earlier, the attackers published a fake video on YouTube, passing it off as an official speech by Musk at the Bitcoin 2024 conference, where he promised free distribution of various crypto assets.

Recall that Tesla and SpaceX companies keep bitcoins on their balance sheets, and the businessman has repeatedly stated that he can use the first cryptocurrency as a means of payment for a future Martian colony.
