Tools for Humanity (TFH), the company behind the development of the Worldcoin project, has hired four high-ranking ex-employees of Apple, Google, Meta, Tesla and X.

Damien Kieran joined the firm as Director of Privacy. He previously held the same position at Company X.

Adrian Ludwig, the former director of Android information security at Google, and Ajay Patel, the former head of the Google Payments identification department, have filled the corresponding vacancies at TFH.

In recent months, the biometric identification project has faced increased attention from regulators in a number of countries concerned about the safety of personal data of citizens. The authorities of Britain, France, Germany, and Argentina became interested in Worldcoin's activities.

Portugal and Spain have ordered the data collection to stop. In December, the company turned off the verification function using orbits — devices for scanning the iris of the eye — in India, Brazil and France.

Rich Hely, who held senior positions at Apple, Meta and Tesla, became director of devices at Worldcoin. He will oversee the development and improvement of orbits.

Recall that TFH co-founders Sam Altman and Alex Blania, despite the investigation of the project in Argentina, in May discussed with newly elected President Javier Miley the possibilities of investing in the country.

In Kenya, the prosecutor's office ordered the closure of the case against Worldcoin without further action by the police.
