A few weeks later, the Kenyan authorities suspended the activities of Worldcoin, the government was concerned about the company's work on collecting personal data. It has formed a committee to investigate Worldcoin.

In addition to Kenya, the authorities of Britain, France, Germany, and Argentina became interested in the company's activities. Portugal and Spain have ordered the collection of personal data to be stopped.

In December, Worldcoin disabled the biometric verification feature using orbs for users from India, Brazil and France.
