Some angry investors have not left the exchange's office in the Federation Tower of the Moscow City complex for three days now, hoping that payments will occur in the near future. According to clients, the security of the Beribit office, threatening with pepper spray cans, tried to detain and escort out several people who actively tried to get explanations from representatives of the platform about the timing of unblocking accounts. The siege of the main office began on April 27. And on April 28, the victims gathered near the second Beribit office to talk with the management.
"People are standing here and waiting, it has been going on for several days. The money just disappeared in a moment, although no one warned in advance," complains one of the clients.
Those gathered near the second Beribit office denied the information that several dozen of them had already received 32 million rubles. According to the affected depositors, only a few people were able to receive funds, and in an incomplete volume, and it is impossible to get clear explanations from the support staff.
The Moscow police says that they are conducting an audit on the application of five clients of the exchange, according to the results of which a decision will be made on what actions to take and whether to take them at all.
On March 29, the Moscow office of Beribit was searched, which could be related to the search for cryptotransactions related to the suspects in the terrorist attack on the Crocus City Hall entertainment complex near Moscow on March 22, 2024.
