Richard Opani from Kenya has created a farm with goats at the expense of donations in cryptocurrency. It all started with the Worldcoin airdrop, of which Opani became a participant. With the coins he received, he bought a goat, which he named Sam — in honor of Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI.
Opani told about his purchase in X, which attracted the attention of some users. Community members started sending him funds to buy new goats.
For example, the co-founder of the PoolTogether project, Leighton Cusack, gave Opani $ 100, with which he bought two goats. One was nicknamed Base, in honor of the Ethereum-based L2 blockchain. He called the second animal Higher, drawing a parallel with the desire for further growth of the cryptocurrency market.
The head of the CoinCenter communications department, Neeraj Agrawal, asked to buy an animal and name it after his friend, Nick Carter, general partner of Castle Island Ventures. Carter also took part in the development of the farm: the businessman sent $ 100 to buy a goat, which should be named Wolfram — in honor of a meme from the world of virtual coins.
The former head of the Aztec Network ecosystem department, under the nickname Brunny, also gave Opani $50. He asked him to purchase a baby goat and name it Boaty McBoatface.
Thanks to his idea of buying a goat, Richard Opani received about $1,120 in various cryptocurrencies and continues to develop his farm.
