Mark Cuban called Kamala Harris 'more open' to the crypto market

US Vice President Kamala Harris is likely to be "much more open" to technological innovation and cryptocurrencies than Joe Biden. This was stated by billionaire Mark Cuban in a comment to Politico.

In his opinion, the technology industry may have an unexpected ally in the person of Harris, who previously served as senator and Attorney General of California.

"The messages that I receive, but which, of course, are not confirmed by the vice president, suggest that she will be much more open to business, [artificial intelligence], cryptocurrencies and government as a service," he noted.

In an interview with Decrypt, Cuban said that advisers close to Harris have already started contacting him for advice on digital assets.

"I get a lot of questions from her camp about cryptocurrency, so I take it as a good sign," the businessman added.

Cuban stressed that he does not know any other industry leader who has received such requests.

On July 22, lobbyists from the Chamber of Digital Commerce sent a letter to Harris, urging her to support the industry and choose a partner with firm and conscientious views on cryptocurrency.

📢 This morning, we sent a letter to @VP with important requests to support the #digitalasset industry. It's in the best interest of the American people for Democrats to embrace this technology fully. @VP has a unique chance to lead this change. Here are our 3 key asks:👇 pic.twitter.com/9QkjQ1fxEx

"There is a public perception that the [Democrat] party holds a negative view of digital assets, largely due to the noticeably cautious and sometimes hostile approach of the Biden/Harris administration to these transformative technologies. Your expected candidacy for the presidency represents an opportunity to change this perception," the document says.

Earlier, Bloomberg noted the hopes of bitcoin companies for the presidency of Donald Trump. The latter last week introduced cryptocurrency proponent J. D. Vance as a candidate for vice president of the United States.

Recall that the KAMA meme coin associated with Kamala Harris updated the historical maximum after reports of her participation in the elections.
