Meta plans to bring more generative artificial intelligence technologies to games, including virtual, augmented and mixed reality. To do this, the company needs a leader in the metaverse division, according to a job advertisement on LinkedIn.
Meta is looking for candidates to create "new consumer experiences" and types of gameplay using AI. For example, games can "change every time you play them" and "follow non-deterministic paths."
At the same time, the company is ready to create AI-based tools or cooperate with third-party developers and suppliers of such solutions to "improve the workflow and reduce the time for games to enter the market."
The Meta initiative focuses on the Horizon mixed reality platform, but can be expanded to games and platforms on smartphones and PCs unrelated to Zuckerberg's company.
"This field is just emerging and has the potential to create new experiences that may not exist today. Innovations in this area can have a significant impact on the ecosystem, as they should increase efficiency and allow for the creation of significantly more content," the vacancy announcement says.In June, Meta announced the integration of AI characters on Instagram.
Earlier, the company planned to increase annual expenses for the AI sector.
Facebook instagrammed an AI assistant in WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Messenger in April.
