The international conference Crypto Week Uzbekistan 2024 gathered more than 200 participants

On June 3-6, the international conference Crypto Week Uzbekistan 2024 was held in Tashkent (Uzbekistan). It was attended by more than 200 experts and crypto enthusiasts.

The event was organized by the National Agency for Advanced Projects of the Republic of Uzbekistan (NAPPA), PraeLegal Uzbekistan law firm and Heemera Company.

The conference included open discussions, as well as closed B2B and B2G meetings:

Askhat Gimranov, Head of the administration of the Internet domain of Uzbekistan at UzInfocom, presented the initiative Token.uz aimed at improving the efficiency of digital asset management;Sherzod Abdulkasimov, Managing Director of PraeLegal Uzbekistan, analyzed the landscape of crypto assets in Uzbekistan, including regulatory frameworks and trends;Artem Semko, Head of the Crystal Partnership Department, touched upon the topic of localization of applications in the field of blockchain analytics;Nater Dallafior partner Nino Sievi made a presentation on the legal solution of conflicts in the crypto environment;Elena Ageyonok, Senior Marketing and Sales Specialist at Crystal, reviewed the European experience of using crypto assets by the traditional financial sector;Denis Shipilov, CEO of Lockton Hub provider, presented the concept of tokenization of real assets on the Lockton Finance platform;Director of InDAO Mukhiddin Salokhiddinov spoke about the formation of a trust environment in decentralized management, decentralized identification and the Zero-Knowledge Proof protocol;Vladimir Gorgadze, Head of the blockchain Department at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, stressed the importance of education in the field of digital assets for the real sector of the economy;Business Development Manager in CityPay.io Arnold Grizov shared the success story of the payment system in Georgia.

In addition, Crypto Week Uzbekistan 2024 included panel discussions on topical issues of the blockchain industry, as well as practical seminars and trainings for law enforcement officers and security specialists. Experts from PraeLegal Uzbekistan, Heemera, Crystal and Chainalysis spoke about methods and tools aimed at combating crypto crimes and recovering stolen assets.

"One of the significant events was the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between PraeLegal Uzbekistan, Tashkent International University and Heemera. This collaboration is aimed at integrating crypto and blockchain education into the university's curriculum," the press release says.

The event was also attended by a representative of Tether Limited, who gave recommendations on effective interaction with the issuer and exchanges.

Recall that in May, JAPAN DXT became the third licensed crypto depository in Uzbekistan. In addition to them, NAPP also issued a permit for the operation of two exchanges and ten crypto exchanges.
