New features in Telegram

On July 31, Telegram developers introduced a number of innovations, including a Web3 browser based on TON and a mini-application store.

Now users can minimize browser pages, which will provide convenient switching between chats, sites and applications in quick browsing mode. The bookmarks feature has been added, which allows you to save your favorite materials.

Mini-apps that use Telegram Stars for payment can get into the popular section. The internal currency can be given to contacts through the "Settings" section.

The Applications tab in the Search section makes it easier to access games and services.

Other updates include a flash when recording video messages, a weather widget, and covers in stories.

Pavel Durov is a billionaire

Telegram founder Pavel Durov entered the Bloomberg Billionaires Index for the first time, taking 279th place with a fortune of $9.15 billion.

Elon Musk leads the list with $252 billion, and US presidential candidate Donald Trump was in the penultimate, 499th place, with a capital of $ 5.89 billion.

From the cryptocurrency world, the rating includes ex-CEO of Binance Changpeng Zhao ($38.8 billion, 39th place) and CEO of Coinbase Brian Armstrong ($9.78 billion, 257th place).

It is noteworthy that Coinbase and Paradigm co-founder Fred Ersam, Digital Currency Group founder Barry Silbert and Gemini founders Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, who were included in the rating in December 2023, are not mentioned in the current list.

Is Bitcoin the brainchild of the CIA?

American journalist Tucker Carlson said that bitcoin was created by the CIA, but stressed its importance for financial sovereignty. He believes that cryptocurrency gives people the freedom to conduct their business without government control. However, to realize its full potential, digital gold must become a medium of exchange, not just savings.

These statements caused a strong reaction on the Internet. The author of the "Bitcoin Standard" Seifedin Ammus recalled the transparency of the cryptocurrency code, and the developer omerskywalker compared bitcoin with GPS, created by the US Department of Defense, emphasizing its effectiveness.

60% — to "tapers" of Hamster Kombat

According to the white paper of the Hamster Kombat project, 60% of the tokens issued are intended for players.

The rest of the coins are used to provide liquidity, partnerships and other purposes. The team claims that this will be the largest airdrop in history.

According to the document, the application has already achieved profitability and does not need to sell tokens "to pay bills." The developers plan to create a Hamster ecosystem that goes beyond the current game.
