Robert Kennedy Jr.: "Cryptocurrencies can protect against war with humans and artificial intelligence"
US presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. said that blockchain and cryptocurrencies can protect people from government interference in their privacy.

Speaking about the attitude of the American authorities to cryptocurrencies, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. stated that "now all politicians are on the same wavelength." He explained that more and more participants in the political arena are beginning to support cryptocurrencies, and even the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which has always been strict about the industry, after much doubt, nevertheless approved the launch of ETFs linked to bitcoin and ether.

"This is very promising. Are they politically motivated? Maybe, but I'm not going to delve into their motives. I'm just glad that they support digital assets. More and more people are realizing the importance of bitcoin and decentralized currencies, which can revitalize our country, make it a center of innovation and entrepreneurship development," Kennedy Jr. said.

According to the politician, cryptocurrencies give people the right to independently manage their wealth without spraying it on intermediaries, as well as transfer their savings abroad without fear that they will be confiscated by the government. The country needs a base currency that will protect it from war, and, according to Kennedy Jr., bitcoin may well become this currency. In addition, the hype for artificial intelligence (AI) has only strengthened his conviction in accepting cryptocurrencies.

"The reason I'm attracted to the crypto space is another democratization of American society. This is the freedom to have mechanisms to combat artificial intelligence and other dystopian totalitarian technologies that can be used to collect our personal data," the US presidential candidate explained.

Kennedy Jr. was referring to the digital dollar. At the beginning of the year, he promised to stop its development and prevent its appearance on the market, in case of his victory in the elections. Last year, Kennedy Jr. spoke out against all digital currencies of central banks, calling the CBDC an encroachment on the personal freedom of citizens.
