Some authors of adult content on OnlyFans use chatbots to communicate with subscribers. Reuters writes about this with reference to its own investigation.
According to the agency, actresses use the services of specialized companies to correspond with the audience. An example is the American company NEO Agency, which has developed an AI-based FlirtFlow chatbot.
The firm claims that the solution creates a "sincere and meaningful" interaction with people. The bot "doesn't just send messages, but forms real connections."
Reuters points out that OnlyFans rules prohibit the use of AI-based chatbots. However, about 70 authors of adult content use the services of NEO Agency. Half of them use FlirtFlow, said Luke Jaris, CEO of the company. Dozens of other actresses use solutions from ~20 similar agencies.
According to Jaris, a few years ago, AI couldn't flirt, and now it handles it better than humans.
"You can't just go straight to the typical, 'Hey daddy, give me a tip.' You have to start with a real understanding of the fan. Where is he from? What's his problem? Why does he hate his boss? What's his dog's name? You're collecting information. Otherwise, how are you going to connect with him? How are you going to get money from him?" he said.
Chatbots are most effective for popular accounts, because "even a team of 14 people can be small," Jaris noted. They are not so well suited for authors with a small user base accustomed to "highly personalized communication" because it is more likely to seem suspicious.
The CEO of NEO Agency drew attention to the fact that people are still better than artificial intelligence in those cases when it comes to subscribers with certain erotic preferences like submission and domination.
As another example, Reuters cites Botly. Founded in 2023, the Australian company also provides AI tools for communicating with subscribers on OnlyFans.
Earlier, the parent company OnlyFans invested $19.9 million in Ethereum and added support for NFT.
Recall that in July, an AI model won a beauty contest.
