Snap has introduced the latest version of generative artificial intelligence technology, which will allow you to see more realistic special effects when using your phone's camera for selfies. This is reported by Reuters.
The pioneer in the field of augmented reality (AR) has also announced an updated version of the program for Lens Studio developers. It allows you to create AR functions for Snapchat or other apps and websites.
Advanced special effects will be available to messenger users in the coming months. The improved Lens Studio will reduce the time to create AR effects from weeks to hours and allow you to do more complex work.
"We are pleased that these tools expand people's creative workspace. But at the same time, they are easy to use, so beginners can quickly create something unique," said Bobby Murphy, Snap's technical director.Lens Studio has added a set of tools based on generative artificial intelligence, such as an assistant that answers developers' questions, or an automatic three-dimensional image generator for AR lenses, which eliminates the need to create a 3D model from scratch.
In the future, Snap plans to create augmented reality for the whole body, not just the face. For example, it can be clothes. It is difficult to do this now, Murphy noted.
Recall that in May 2022, Snapchat released a realistic "crying" filter.
