On July 24, a single miner with a 3 TH/s hardware hashrate included block #853,742 in the blockchain of the first cryptocurrency. This was announced by the administrator of the CKPool pool, Kon Kolivas.
Congratulations to miner with the first bitaxe block, only a tiny 3TH for finding the 290th solo block on solo ckpool! This much hashrate only would find a block once every 3500 YEARS on average, or 1 in 1.2 MILLION chance per day! https://t.co/5Wtu9jydsF pic.twitter.com/D5sSzug42P
— Dr -ck (@ckpooldev) July 24, 2024He noted that with such a capacity, the chances of finding a block are one in 1.2 million, and on average this can happen once every 3,500 years.
The miner earned a total of $211,972 in fees and commissions.
Kolivas added that this is the first case of successful mining by Bitaxe installations from D-Central Technologies. The miniature devices are designed for solo mining, use the Antminer S21 chip and issue a hashrate of ~500 GH with an energy efficiency of 18 J/TH.
The CKPool administrator noticed that the miner connected the address only 19 days ago, and increased the computing power to 3 TH/s only in the last 24 hours.
According to Kolivas, he used a combination of six Bitaxes. According to the website of the seller of mining equipment Altair, the cost of one device in the United States is $179.
🏆Congratulations to the miner who likely mined the first solo BTC block with a Bitaxe on @ckpooldev with ~500 Gh hashrate!
👏Props to @skot9000, @Public_Pool_BTC & @osmu_global on the project!

During the operation of CKPool, this is 290 blocks mined by single miners, the pool administrator stressed.
Recall that in April, solo cryptocurrency miners managed to do this twice: the first one earned ∽$422,750 at the beginning of the month, the second one received only ~$218,544 due to the halving that took place.
