Unbound Fund offered clients EU citizenship in exchange for Bitcoin fund units
The Portuguese Unbound fund, which has the right to sell a "golden visa" to clients when providing business immigration services and obtaining a residence permit in the Eurozone, has announced a new offer for large bitcoin investors.

In a statement, the Unbound Fund talks about expanding the concept of obtaining citizenship through investment and a new opportunity for individuals to obtain Portuguese and EU citizenship by indirectly owning bitcoins worth about 500,000 euros (approximately $542,000). In the legal field of the European Union, the Unbound Fund is considered the first financial institution of its kind that has the right to assist in obtaining a Golden Visa for crypto investors.

"Investors who have accumulated wealth in decentralized digital currencies can realize the possibility of using their crypto assets to obtain citizenship. This transformation of crypto investments opens a new path for digital asset holders to achieve personal freedom and global mobility," the Unbound Fund's advertisement says.

The Unbound Fund offers applicants to exercise the right to a "golden visa" through the ownership of VTS in the form of investments in spot ETFs for bitcoins from BlackRock.

In December 2023, the authorities of El Salvador announced the launch of an emigration program that will provide an opportunity to apply for a residence permit and get a chance to acquire citizenship of the country in exchange for crypto investments of $ 1 million in bitcoins or Tether (USDT) stablecoins.
