The UK has the largest number of European startups in the field of generative artificial intelligence — 30% of the total number of firms studied. This is reported by Reuters with reference to Accel data.
The venture company analyzed 221 startups in Europe and Israel. Great Britain is being followed:
Germany — 14%;Israel — 13%;France — 11%;The Netherlands — 6%.However, startups from France are leading in terms of attracted investments — $2.29 billion. The UK is in second place — $1.15 billion. Israel and Germany are next — $1.04 billion and $636 million, respectively.
Last week, Paris-based AI startup Mistral AI raised €600 million ($640 million). He is working on large open source language models and is positioned as a European competitor to the American OpenAI.
In 2023, generative AI startups around the world raised $25 billion, Accel notes. The figure is expected to reach $45 billion in 2024.

By 2026, €8.8 billion will be spent on expanding the Amazon Web Service (AWS) cloud infrastructure, as the company captures the growing potential of AI technologies in Europe.
