Vitalik Buterin donated 100 ETH for the development of the Ethereum blockchain
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin transferred 100 ETH worth about $300,000 to an address belonging to the 2077 Collective organization to develop innovations and support the Ethereum network.

The transaction from the vitalik.eth wallet was reported by Chinese cryptojournalist Colin Wu, who uses the pseudonym WuBlockchain on the social network X. The 2077 Collective organization positions itself as an unofficial Ethereum marketing department. It consists of developers, researchers and marketers who, they claim, have committed themselves to "enhance the coolness of Ethereum" by promoting community initiatives.

The exact purpose of the donation made by Buterin is not known, but it can be assumed that he approves of the actions of the organization. The 2077 Collective team thanked Buterin for his support and promised to continue working to increase the attractiveness of the network.

This is not the first time that Vitalik Buterin has been generous. In May, he donated 30 ETH, which at that time was estimated at $113,000, to the fund to support the founders of the Tornado Cash cryptomixer Alexey Pertsev and Roman Storm. By providing them with financial assistance, Buterin supported the development of decentralized technologies.

A few years ago, Buterin sold his memcoins SHIB, AKITA and ELON for 15,719 ETH, and distributed the proceeds to several charities.
