The country's main digital currency regulatory agency insists that a crypto asset is a property that represents a set of digital records in the blockchain, having value and an owner:
"The coins accumulated in the Hamster Kombat game do not meet the legal definition, since they do not have a blockchain, therefore they are not a crypto asset, and have no value."
Perhaps in the future, Hamster Kombat coins will be able to switch to the blockchain, which will make them cryptocurrency assets. In this case, their purchase and sale in Uzbekistan will be possible only through national service providers.
NAPP believes that Hamster Combat does not belong to the "Play to earn" category of projects, and any activity related to the platform's coins will be subject to regulation only after the transfer of tokens to the blockchain.
Earlier, Can Picak, co-founder and CEO of the Web3 Eldarune game studio, compared the mechanics of token clickers like Hamster Combat to a pyramid scheme.
