Worldcoin has entered into a partnership with Alchemy ahead of the launch of the World Chain

The crypto startup of OpenAI co—founder Sam Altman, Worldcoin, has entered into a partnership with the Web3 infrastructure company Alchemy before the launch of the World Chain network, which will take place "in the coming weeks or months."

"Thanks to the partnership with Alchemy, World Chain developers will have immediate access to a complete and comprehensive Web3 platform, including core and data APIs, indexing solutions and a set of other tools needed by developers to create their applications," the company representatives noted.

According to them, the World Chain will work "together with Optimism, Coinbase and the broader ecosystem as part of the Superchain"; it is "optimized for real people, not bots."

The new network is expected to be launched in the summer. It is a second-level open source solution based on OP Stack from Optimism.

All users will be able to send transactions on the public network, but those who have passed the World ID verification will have priority. The latter will also receive "some free gas" in order to reduce entry barriers to the use of the blockchain. ETH will remain the native token, but commissions can also be paid using WLD.

More than 10 million people in 160 countries have created a World ID and a compatible wallet, which they used to make 75 million transactions.

Recall that the Kenyan prosecutor's office ordered to close the case against Worldcoin.
