BOB is a multi-chain, multi-collateral stable token (stablecoin) built with optional privacy capabilities. You can obtain BOB by swapping other tokens via Uniswap v3 or Metamask on Ethereum, Optimism, and Polygon. It can also be sent between users in a shielded mode through the zkBOB application.

BOB is designed with zkBob in mind. After it is deposited, BOB can be moved privately among members inside the zkpool. These transfers are carried out entirely within the application, so there’s no requirement to use or connect MetaMask, WalletConnect, or any other web3 wallet for private sending-you only need BOB, with no extra fee token.

The BOB stablecoin is available today on Polygon, Optimism, and the Ethereum mainnet, while more chains are planned. The zkBob application is live on Polygon to take advantage of existing infrastructure (Uniswap v3, Aave, and native USDC), improve scalability, and reflect their focus on zk-based approaches.
