Cult.DAO is a decentralized venture capital platform. The top 50 CULT stakers are The Guardians. While The Guardians may submit proposals to the DAO, they do not have any power to affect the voting outcome. Voting is open to all CULT stakers who are not Guardians. A proposal is approved based on the balance of token share voting Yes versus No.

CULT is the tradable, liquid token for CULT.DAO. Using CULT supports the protocol by gradually adding to the DAO treasury, which helps finance investments in decentralized technologies. This happens through a 0.4% fee collected from every CULT transaction that goes directly to the DAO.

Staking CULT underpins the entire protocol. The leading stakers (holders of dCULT) are The Guardians, and they can submit proposals for their own initiatives or for others. If a project proposal succeeds, the agreed percentage that the project gifts to the DAO is divided 50/50: half is burned, and the other half is sent to the DAO for distribution to CULT stakers.
