Mission
Deepwaters is a validated, trustless exchange focused on provable fairness, transparency, protected order flow, and secure custody.
Background (The Problem)
Many trading platforms put users at a disadvantage. The challenges impacting these venues can be grouped into two broad areas:
Insufficient confidentiality and weak order-flow integrity before orders are written to the publicly accessible order book, leading to: Front-runningReordering and blocking of order flowWorsening spreadsLower fill qualityPrivileged rent extraction2. Breaches in the custody of customer funds, which include rehypothecation and commingling. This can result in customer fund loss, especially during tail risk periods. While decentralized finance platforms tried to address these issues, they also introduced new complications that often appeared in similar ways, such as weak execution and loss of funds. DeFi further required trade-offs in efficiency and throughput, and solutions have generally involved choosing between decentralization and trustlessness. That tension is still the framework most markets operate under today.
Solution
Deepwaters Beta combines traditional finance with blockchain technology through a Hybrid Architecture, drawing on well-established ideas from both. Its goal is to advance DeFi and support the infrastructure behind the next generation of financial products.
The approach is straightforward:
Transparency: Open-source code and exchange business logic covering activities such as trading and custody.Fairness: Every trader and customer is handled the same way. The project removes information asymmetry, PFOF, and any style of preferential order handling-meaning no participant receives privileged access to order flow.Provability: Instead of asking users to “trust us,” Deepwaters builds a setup that lets anyone confirm independently that its software-along with the underlying open-source exchange logic-is running on Deepwaters systems. This relies on remote attestation, a capability of ‘confidential computing’ built on Intel SGX and other Trusted Execution Environments.| Exchange | Pair | Last Price | Change (24H) | High (24h) | Low (24h) | Spread | Volume (24h) |
