DeFi Kingdoms is a game, a DEX, a liquidity pool opportunity, and a hub for rare utility-focused NFTs-presented through a highly nostalgic fantasy pixel-art experience. DeFi Kingdoms is built as an ecosystem featuring the JEWEL token, the DEX, the Gardens, and NFT assets (Heroes, Equipment, and Kingdoms), alongside the in-game activities enabled by those NFTs.

At its core, DeFi Kingdoms provides a decentralized exchange based on the well-established UniswapV2 Protocol. In the Market, users can swap tokens using the prevailing exchange rates. You can also join as a Liquidity Provider by supplying liquidity to any token pools you choose, earning trading fees whenever those tokens are exchanged. Alternatively, the resulting LP tokens can be staked in the Gardens to collect JEWEL rewards. A further distinctive component is the Bank: you can deposit JEWEL to receive xJEWEL shares. The Bank collects DEX fees and periodically performs a market buy for additional JEWEL, so xJEWEL shares are intended to grow in value relative to the amount deposited. In addition, every in-game JEWEL transaction contributes a portion into the Bank to reward xJEWEL holders.

Gameplay in DeFi Kingdoms largely revolves around Heroes-utility-driven NFTs that can collect resources using Professions and are set to take part in combat quests and even PVP. If you haven’t acquired enough JEWEL to buy a Hero yet, that’s fine. You can put your available funds to work either through the Bank (DEX fee sharing) or via the Gardens (liquidity pooling) to start earning more JEWEL. Naturally, you’ll first need to visit the Marketplace to obtain JEWEL.

The Marketplace serves as the commercial center of DeFi Kingdoms. Trader Matoya represents the DEX, where players can trade tokens on the Harmony blockchain. New users typically start by going to Matoya to swap other tokens for JEWEL, and existing players frequently trade tokens to obtain seeds or to support a variety of investment approaches.
