District0x is a decentralized blockchain network built around marketplaces and communities called “districts.” These districts operate on Ethereum smart contracts and d0xINFRA, a set of frontend libraries used across the platform. The goal is to reduce friction and complexity that often arises in distributed communities and marketplaces. It supports more constructive, better-aligned decision-making by giving network participants practical tools to work together.
The network’s native asset is the District Network Token (DNT). DNT is an ERC-20 token created to enable participation in the network, coordination during district0x Network development, and network governance.
District0x uses an open-source framework called d0xINFRA, composed of Ethereum smart contracts and front-end libraries. Developers can leverage this framework to build and launch their own districts. Districts are governed through a governance layer that is part of the Aragon network. Each district can also be customized-meaning it may offer different functionalities, use cases, and even different user interfaces. For instance, a district might provide search and filtering, use reputation rankings for users, enable payments, and more.
DNT is also part of the platform’s staking setup. Users can stake DNT into the Aragon entity linked to a chosen district, which grants voting rights within that particular entity. Voting power is represented through tokens that can be used to submit proposals and vote on district decisions. These decisions may cover branding and design, added functionality, and module parameters.
One important detail is that, unlike many other “proof-of-stake” chains that use reward-driven staking, the district0x platform does not directly distribute rewards for staking DNT. Instead, each district’s governance participants determine the incentive structure.
DNT is traded on the CEXs and DEXs listed here. The platforms noted as most popular, with the highest liquidity, are Binance, Upbit, and CoinBase Pro. DNT’s price will change based on the exchange you use and broader market conditions. For the latest and historical DNT market pricing, check the price charts on this page.
