Eden Network is a priority transaction ordering protocol designed for Ethereum blocks. It does not break consensus rules and remains optional. With Eden, participants can secure predetermined block placement and reduce the impact of arbitrary transaction reshuffling. The project also seeks to better align incentives for block producers.
Eden Network outlines three main objectives:
Boost block producer earnings while strengthening consensus-level security;Stop harmful MEV, such as frontrunning and sandwich attacks;Support the democratization and tokenization of MEV.In practice, it introduces technology aimed at prioritizing transparent behavior and applying a fair rule set to help shield traders from frontrunning, while also safeguarding transactions against malicious bots.
EDEN is the project’s native cryptocurrency.
Eden Network targets three groups with its proposed solutions. First are block producers. Block producers are compensated with income paid out in EDEN for their work on the Eden network. This incentives approach encourages higher security across the system. Producers can connect quickly to the network and start creating blocks with minimal friction.
Applications can also use Eden Network by becoming Slot Tenants. By staking EDEN, an application can obtain the Slot Tenant status and secure priority block space through rent on the network. This is intended to improve execution quality for the application’s users. DeFi participants can stake EDEN to access the Eden Relay. On the Eden Relay, transactions are processed privately to add an extra layer of user security.
Among Eden Network’s notable capabilities are priority execution. Traders can take advantage of knowing they receive priority within a block, reducing uncertainty around transaction timing. The protocol also aims to improve trading outcomes by factoring in better slippage and prioritization compared with public transactions. It is designed to be used by all kinds of Ethereum-based traders.
