IOStoken is a blockchain project designed to tackle problems like high transaction fees and slow processing times seen on Ethereum and elsewhere in the crypto ecosystem. To do this, the team is working toward a scalable, low-cost network where decentralized applications can run. It specifically supports service-based projects and supplies tools for carrying out decentralized exchange of online services and digital goods.
The IOST mainnet went live in 2018. IOST is the network’s native cryptocurrency. It can be used for staking, trading, and for accessing applications within the IOStoken ecosystem. IOST has a maximum supply of 90,000,000,000.
IOStoken operates using new-generation technology, including its Proof-of-Believability (PoB) consensus mechanism. For each block-production round, a committee made up of 17 nodes is chosen to validate and confirm transactions. These nodes receive rewards for taking part. To be selected for one of the 17 committee positions, participants can hold 2,100,000 IOST tokens. Compared with other DPoS-style systems, the entry requirement is relatively low.
Efficient Distributed Sharding is another important part of the platform. This approach helps the network scale effectively and support quicker transaction throughput.
Because of the technology behind IOStoken, developers can take advantage of the following within the IOStoken network:
Low-cost transaction fees;Very fast response times;Scalability and network stability. The IOST platform provides a full set of tools and services created for NFTs, including solutions that help developers build complete NFT platforms.
IOST can be traded on the CEXs and DEXs shown in the list here. The most widely used venues with the greatest liquidity are Binance, AscendEX, OKX, Huobi Global, MEXC Global, and Gate.io. IOST’s price may change based on which exchange you use and current market conditions. For current and historical OVR market price data, check the price charts on this page.
