KYVE is a decentralized archival network designed to rebuild data streams into lasting resources. Any data stream produced-such as a sequence of blocks from a blockchain-is formatted, checked for validity, and kept permanently. Using Arweave, KYVE aims to maintain scalability, immutability, and long-term availability of these stored resources.
The KYVE Protocol
KYVE’s design is fully decentralized and includes two key parts. The first is an autonomous governance system responsible for “breaches of contract”. This governance is powered through staking and slashing $KYVE, aligning participants’ behavior with the network’s goals. The second component is a computational layer that lets participants operate configurable nodes. With $KYVE as compensation, nodes perform different duties; drawing on core KYVE logic, they validate, standardize, and archive data streams.
KYVE Token
In the KYVE community, $KYVE is the token used inside the protocol for decentralized governance. Distributed to network participants who successfully meet objectives, $KYVE functions as a reward for achieved outcomes.
