MAP protocol is an open, fully decentralized chain-to-chain interoperability protocol designed to connect multiple independently verifiable consensus blockchains. MAP protocol aims to form an interconnected blockchain network by linking separate blockchains, combining the resources and functions of each chain, and delivering a complete, always-available blockchain foundation for finance, AI, the Internet of things, traceability, governance, and other use cases.
Within the chain, lightweight arbitrary interaction is possible without routing through a relay chain, using an independent self-verified consensus mechanism. For non-independent self-verified consensus mechanisms, lightweight arbitrary interaction is supported via a relay anchoring approach. Compared with other cross-chain interoperability solutions, MAP protocol focuses on achieving chain interoperability in a trustless environment-meaning there is no trusted third party. Its security is intended to be based on cryptographic proof, with the protocol working to keep the proof size reasonably small. It also requires a verification process that is non-interactive.
