Marlin is a blockchain-based protocol designed to deliver a programmable network for DeFi and Web3.0. It targets common networking challenges by running a high-throughput, incentive-driven networking layer where developers can bring their applications to life.
POND is one of the platform’s native cryptocurrencies. Its maximum supply is 10,000,000,000.
Among Marlin’s advantages over other blockchain networks are its speed and ability to scale. Activity on the Marlin network is nearly instantaneous, and it can expand to support many nodes while keeping overall performance stable. This environment helps developers create robust dApps and blockchains.
Marlin also includes a specialized infrastructure layer that underpins how the system operates. Within this framework, four stakeholder roles are involved:
Marlin nodes act as relay nodes across the Marlin network. These relay nodes run the Marlin protocol software. Auditors verify that relay nodes are carrying out their responsibilities properly.Miners create blocks for blockchains that operate on the Marlin relay network.Full nodes are network users-such as wallets and merchants-that receive transactions and blocks from blockchain networks.POND can be used to delegate to Marlin nodes, and it is also issued as a reward for correctly operating the relay network. To delegate, POND must be converted into MPOND.
The Marlin network supports a range of blockchain initiatives, including:
Blockchains or sidechains with short block creation times;
Order relay systems for DEXes;Live streaming services;Multiplayer games;Scalable IoT data marketplaces, and more.POND can be traded on the CEXs and DEXs mentioned on this page. The most widely used exchanges with the highest liquidity are Binance, Gate.io, KuCoin, and CoinBase Pro. POND’s price depends on the exchange you choose and broader market conditions.
