MOSS is focused on supporting environmental preservation with a market-based approach. This includes broadening access and advancing the carbon credit market via MCO2 tokens. To drive this, MOSS purchases carbon credits from reputable environmental initiatives in the Amazon Forest (initiatives that reduce emissions, certify results, and issue credits). The credits are tied to projects that either prevent or absorb CO2 from reaching the atmosphere. MOSS lets companies and individuals obtain these credits through its fully digital platform, turning a traditionally complex and hard-to-follow procedure into something simple and transparent with blockchain technology.

MOSS’s goal is to fight climate change while protecting the Amazon Forest. Within its first year after launch, MOSS has handled the trade of over 1.3 million carbon credits and, indirectly, helped preserve 1MM ha of the Amazon forest (comparable in size to Lebanon).
