Nervos (CKB) serves as a utility token for an open blockchain platform called “Trustware,” built to support decentralized applications.
Nervos is made up of scalable, interoperable protocols and the open blockchain “Trustware” platform for decentralized applications. “Trustware” extends beyond traditional distributed ledgers and smart contracts.
Nervos leverages the “Common Knowledge Base” to enable universal computing and storage, aiming for improved scalability and well-balanced economic incentives, while also being mobile-friendly.
DApps built on CKB rely on Types to choose the right data structure and store app-specific information in cells. Application logic is implemented through Generators, while state validation is handled with Validators. Generators operate on the client-side to produce new states, which are then bundled into transactions and shared across the network. In the CKB network, consensus nodes start by confirming the transaction sender’s authenticity, then use the Validators to examine the new states within the transaction and submit the verified transactions to the pool. Once a new block is created and accepted, the new states contained in that block are incorporated into the CKB.
Through this approach, Nervos has built a distinct decentralized platform designed to offer multiple options for scalability, transaction dependability, and low local latency.
