By providing the results of an esports match, dapps can be powered without relying on a third party. Smart contracts can be arranged to query the oracle once the match concludes, determine the outcome, and then handle payment distribution accordingly

In a similar way, an insurance agreement can protect a farmer in periods of low rainfall. A smart contract can request data from providers to check how many inches of rain fell between two dates in a specific region. If conditions indicate a drought, payments can be released directly, reducing delays compared with traditional insurance claim inspection processes
