Pangolin is a decentralized exchange. A major part of Pangolin’s value comes from its community-based governance. Development is handled entirely by the community, with no investors, team members, or other stakeholders of any kind. Governance is used to decide updates to liquidity pools-such as creating new liquidity, modifying liquidity across those pools, and distributing PNG to a specific smart contract or user.

Through governance, the community can also activate fee switches. With this mechanism, 0.05% of all swap fees can be directed to a designated address, allowing the community to redirect and secure funds for a chosen initiative.
