It matches users who want to run render jobs with participants that have unused GPU capacity for processing. GPU owners connect their hardware to the Render Network to take on rendering tasks through OctaneRender. Creators send RNDR to the individual handling the work, while OTOY takes a small portion of RNDR to support the transaction and operate the Render Network.

After idle GPUs are registered on the Render Network, those GPU owners become “Node Operators” and can earn RNDR Tokens. They earn by taking on rendering tasks from “Creators,” who need compute power and submit their files to the Render Network, where assignments are made to Operators. Render keeps a small percentage of the RNDR paid out to maintain the network and enable the transaction.
