Splinterlands is a strategic NFT game built on blockchain technology. Players use collectible cards to face off in battles against other players. By adding blockchain to a card-collecting experience, the project targets both card game fans and the broader crypto community. The game can be played on desktop and mobile.
Splinterlands runs on the Hive blockchain, while also offering support for Ethereum, Tron, WAX, and BSC. Its native token is SPS, and the total supply is 3,000,000,000 SPS tokens.
To join the game, players need collectible cards. There are two main card categories: Summoners and Monsters. Summoners are magical cards that can call monsters into play, while Monster cards represent characters and creatures that take part in battles.
Magic is a core part of how the game plays. There are 6 magic sources: fire, water, earth, life, death, and dragon. Splinters function as the game’s separate factions. Both Summoners and Monsters are tied to a specific Splinter, letting summoners use their magic to summon monsters from the same faction. Every collectible card comes with attributes that can be improved as players play more and progress through game levels.
Signing up is free, and users can also practice for free. However, practice does not impact ranking, and it does not allow players to earn crypto. To generate potential earnings, users must deposit at least $10 to access the “Summoner’s Spellbook”, which unlocks the Play-to-Earn game modes.
Splinterlands stands out from many other NFT blockchain games because players can withdraw their NFTs right away. For instance, if a player obtains an NFT during gameplay, it can be taken out to a wallet and traded on the open market.
SPS is used to participate in Splinterlands governance. Token holders can vote on decisions around the product, including game development and rewards distribution.
SPS can be traded on the CEXs and DEXs listed here. The most widely used exchanges with the highest liquidity are Crypto.com, Gate.io, and MEXC Global. SPS pricing will change based on the exchange you choose and broader market conditions. For current and historical SPS market data, check the price charts on this page.
