About Trust Wallet

Trust Wallet Token (TWT) is a utility token within the Trust Wallet ecosystem. Trust Wallet was launched in 2017 and functions as a secure, blockchain-based wallet that lets users store, purchase, collect, exchange, and earn crypto, along with NFTs. In 2018, Trust Wallet was acquired by Binance. Because of this, the TWT token is offered on both BEP2 and BEP20.

The Trust Wallet ecosystem is made up of multiple products designed to enhance the experience of managing crypto and digital assets. While it provides a wallet for everyday crypto users, Trust Wallet also builds essential tools for developers. These include Wallet Core and WalletConnect.

The total supply of TWT is 1,000,000,000. TWT is allocated to Trust Wallet community members through promotions and other forms of giveaways.

What are Trust Wallet Token (TWT) key features and how does it work?

The wallet itself is Trust Wallet’s central offering. The mobile app is built to provide fast, straightforward access to digital assets. Users can, for instance, send, receive, buy, and trade any of the coins supported on the platform. The wallet can also securely hold cryptocurrency, NFTs, and other digital assets.

As already noted, Trust Wallet has two core developer-focused products: Wallet Core and WalletConnect. Wallet Core provides wallet functionality that works with a variety of blockchain networks. It functions as a cross-platform library that projects can use and integrate. For example, teams building their own mobile wallets can incorporate the library.

WalletConnet is a communication protocol that enables users to access desktop decentralized applications. It is an open-source protocol that links desktop and mobile wallets securely and in a decentralized way. Developers can add it into their applications so users can connect to hundreds of other applications. It also helps keep private keys and recovery phrases encrypted.

What can TWT be used for?

TWT has two main uses: Governance and providing discounts.

Token holders can participate in the platform’s governance by voting on new blockchain support, feature upgrades, and the tokens that are made available.

Holders can also receive discounts when buying crypto and when using DEX services.
