About Trust Wallet

Trust Wallet Token (TWT) is a utility token as part of the Trust Wallet ecosystem. Trust Wallet was created in 2017 and operates as a secure blockchain-based wallet where users can store, buy, collect, exchange and earn crypto, as well as NFTs. Trust Wallet has since been acquired by Binance, in 2018. As such, the TWT token is available as both BEP2 and BEP20.

The Trust Wallet ecosystem consists of a variety of products tailored toward improving the experience of holding crypto and digital assets. Apart from providing a wallet function for general crypto users, Trust Wallet has developed core tools specifically for developers. This includes Wallet Core and WalletConnect.

The total supply of TWT is 1,000,000,000. TWT is distributed to Trust Wallet community members via promotions and other types of giveaways.

As mentioned, there are two main Trust Wallet products built for developers: Wallet Core and WalletConnect. Wallet Core offers wallet functionality that is compatible with a range of blockchain networks. It operates as a cross-platform library that can be used and integrated within projects. For example, the library can be used by projects building their own mobile wallets.

WalletConnet is a communications protocol that allows users to interact with desktop decentralized applications. It is an open-source protocol that connects desktop to mobile wallets in a secure and decentralized manner. Developers can integrate the technology within their applications to enable connection to hundreds of other applications. It ensures that private keys and recovery phrases are kept encrypted.
